Streetcar Studio is a nurturing performing arts space on the Upper East Side where children are encouraged to explore, create, and express themselves with confidence and joy.

At the festival, they’re inviting children to experience the magic of their program through a Performing Arts Workshop—a fun introduction to theatre with music, movement, imagination, and storytelling.

Through games, improvisation, and ensemble activities, kids explore their voices, bodies, and creativity while building focus, confidence, and collaboration skills in a warm, playful environment.

Step into the creative world of Streetcar Productions and explore the art of physical storytelling.

Inspired by our sold-out production The Mutt and our ongoing Dostoevsky Project, this workshop offers a behind-the-scenes look at how we create our work. Through movement exercises, simple improvisation, and live performance excerpts (both onstage and on screen), participants will experience our process in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Participants will move and explore in a no-pressure space—no prior experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. Blending imagination, body awareness, and ensemble work, this workshop is a playful introduction to physical theater.
